Melissa Meehan Baldwin is the founder of Chase Media Services, a public relations consulting firm with a focus on sustainability. Melissa specializes in media relations, public education, and climate advocacy.
Chase Media serves clients in the energy and environmental sector, including solar contractors, environmental service providers, and non-profit climate and environmental organizations. Melissa is the Program Manager for the Florida Clinicians for Climate Action, a group working with doctors to inform patients and the public about the health risks posed by our changing climate.
Melissa served as the Tampa Bay Regional Press Secretary for the 2014 NextGen Climate Florida campaign, and for the 2016 For Our Future political action campaign. Previously Baldwin worked as a climate organizer for the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and for the Florida chapter of the League of Conservation Voters. In 2011, Melissa completed the Empowering Capable Climate Communicators training the University of Miami.
In 2006, Melissa was named one of the top “30 Under 30” young professionals by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. While attending Boston University in 2003 Melissa was a media relations intern at Harvard Medical School’s Center for Health and the Global Environment working with climate health expert Paul Epstein and Nobel Laureate Eric Chivian.
Melissa graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a focus in Environmental Science.
After seven years of business and over a dozen clients, Melissa has generated over a thousand earned media hits to help her clients get the attention they deserve in the press.
